Communion
On the night before Jesus was crucified he shared a Last Supper with his followers. During that time he instructed them to remember him each time they came together — remember what he taught them — remember what they shared together — remember what was about to happen to him on the cross. On the second Sunday of each month we observe the “Last Supper”, also called Communion, as a way of remembering Christ’s life and death on our behalf. It is a celebration of our rescue and forgiveness from sin, and a reflection on the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made when he gave his life for us. Participation is totally voluntary and open to anyone who has accepted Christ’s gift of redemption and has surrendered their life to his leadership.
