Charla’s Bio
Born and raised in Spotsylvania, Virginia, I am the fourth of six siblings with three older brothers (Calvin, Charles, Jr. and Carlos) and two younger sisters (Carletta and Carolyn). I have two, wonderful and fulfilling children, Charles (“CJ”) and my niece Ramona, who I am raising. Ramona is a freshman at Lynchburg College and on the Hornets Cheerleaders Team. I graduated from Spotsylvania High School and have an Undergraduate Degree from Strayer University. I served in the U.S. Armed Forces for six years. I’m currently pursuing a MBA from the University of Mary Washington. Blessed by the love and nurturing of my grandmother (deceased) and mother (Annette), I accepted the Lord and Savior at an early age. I became active in choir, Sunday school, serving on the usher board, and other organizations. I am thrilled about being Real Life Community Church’s Historian and working with one of my true passions, the Real Kids Ministry. Some of my favorite hobbies are sports, scrapbooking, and playing cards with CJ.
