John’s Bio
I was active in the Episcopal Church in my early years, serving as everything from Altar Boy to Vestryman. In 1976, at a Marriage Encounter, I realized the sort of personal relationship that the Lord seeks with his people, and I committed myself to a personal relationship with Christ and continually examine myself to determine God’s will for my life. Having accepted God’s forgiveness, I was led to a variety of churches and places of service in New York, Germany, Washington State, Hawaii, Maryland, and finally Virginia. I am an ordained Deacon and have since served in a wide variety of positions and committees.
I am now serving Real Life Community Church by being responsible for the Lord’s Supper, the offering, the contact database, and the church directory. I also assist with the food ministry and serve on the Advisory Committee. I am a retired engineer, working full time for the Fredericksburg Area Baptist Association as the Church Building Consultant.
I have been married to my wife Ruth since 1976. We have four adult children and four grandchildren.
