Pams Bio
I was born and raised in Kansas City, where I attended Catholic elementary and high school. At the age of 30 I had four children and was divorced. After frequenting a Baptist singles group I became a Christian and joined Salem Baptist Church. It was there I met and married my husband Steve (in 1982). In Kansas City I was active in prison ministry, taught youth Sunday School and became active in missions, home and foreign, traveling over the years to Mexico, China, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and South Africa.
Steve and I moved to Fredericksburg in 1992. I’ve been active in starting new churches, first with Ni River Community and Evergreen as Children’s Director and with Real Life in the drama ministry. I was chosen by the RL Ministry Parters as one of eight elders in the fall of 2008.
I work full-time as an IT Manager for a contractor in Tyson’s Corner. My four grown children and 12 grandchildren are scattered between Virginia, Kansas and Florida so when I’m not working or practicing drama, I’m traveling to see family. I love crafts, flower arranging, sewing, gardening and entertaining friends. I also love Real Life – the worship is fantastic, the people are warm and loving and they pour their hearts and souls into everything they do, no matter the task. I consider it a privilege to serve my Lord alongside these brothers and sisters in Christ. The diversity at RL has not only broadened my perspective but it has also broadened my smile.
