The Women of Faith Conference will be at the Verizon Center July 31-August 1, 2009. The cost is $79.00 per person for both days. I was wondering if the Women of Real Life would be interested in attending. If you have never been, it is a time of Prayer and Praise and Worship and Music and fun in the name of the Lord. Let Janice O’hara know if you would be interested in attending at jayoh224@yahoo.com, she is willing to coordinate the registrations.
What a wonderful but busy time this last Sunday.
Testimony, music, drama, Town Hall Meeting and finally the Stars and Stripes Celebration in Spotsylvania. Voices of Real Life Praise combined with All God’s Children were great. Fireworks were best ever. Thanks Cathy Smith for all your hard work. I hade a great time with the boys and seeing all ourchurches share the gifts God has given us.
god is good, all the time.
What a great time on the prayer walk Sunday. Walking throught the neighborhood appartments and homes is one of my favorite things to do. I’m looking forward to the next walk and planning an event in the neighborhood.
Thanks,
Thank you for the joy of spending time with the youth of Real Life CC tonight (last night technically). Ready to wake up in a few hours for set up. Life’s good. God is great.
Thank you Ms. Alicia and all the young leaders in training for this Sunday’s time together. What great examples we can get from the story Alicia shared from 1 Samuel. Saul who was chosen and strayed (sometime when we get what we ask for it aint so good), David who was least likely to succeed but God had a plan. Jonathan who should have been given it all (as the son of the King) but was glad for David because he love him and trusted God.
Trust God, be happy for others’ success, love is greater that all.

Great Job with the Children’s (Bruce) and Youth (Dave) Ministries on Sunday, November, 22,2009. We reversed the roles of the Ministers this week. I wasn’t in the class but the kids told me that Dave played Jenga with them and discussed making “Real Choices” and the consequences. The children talked about Mr. Bruce and how he discussed the 10 Commandments while bowling. Bruce also discuss listening when being told not to touch a hot stove. It’s amazing what children remember and how they retain information. Our goal is to make it fun and memorable. Novemeber 8th was an amazing lesson about salvation. The children made a huge trail mix to share with the congregation while discussing the ABCD’s of salvation: A= Admit you’re a sinner, B= Believe Christ died for your sins, C=Confess your sins, D=Do it today! God Bless and Happy Holidays
Snow Snow Snow. Wow what a few days we have had. Record breaking snowfalls and it’s only still the middle of Februry. I am so prould of the Student Partners at Real Life CC. Weather and other challenges have delayed some great stepin that they will do for the Partnership but that just increases the anticipation. REAL ENERGY is what we’re about and a little snow can’t stop that. We are learning what true love is and though people may disapoint us, God’s love is perfect and eternal. Learning to lean on Him… That’s Power!!
Sunday was great. So glad to be back with the Real Life Family again. Nd how about that student partner time!!!! REAL ENERGY fealt great. Question? Can you name all 10 Commandments given to Moses by God in the Old Testiment? Three of our students got 8 out of 10. Pretty good. CAn yo beat them. Students, challenge your parents - see how they do. How about when Jesus was asked about which commandment was the greatest? what did he say? Did he just answer the question or did He give us more? (I bet you can guess the answer to that one, hint - The Lord always gives us more).
BTW - Tia won a starbucks card for knowing where the definition of love is given. Great job. Learn this definition and it will change how you see those who say they love you and how you treat those who you say you love.
The 4th Sunday in February was an amazing time for the Nursery with their “RLCC Idol” competition. While studying the 2nd comandment of having no Idols or images of God, the nursery kids performed, songs; danced; told stories to the children’s group. They were amazing! Claudia sang a song for both groups and recieved a standing ovation. The children had a 10 commandment writing contest. They were each paid a $1 for every commandment listed and explained. The most won by any one student was $8. In review of their written answers all 10 commandments were covered and thoroughly explained by a student. I’m thrilled! I love these kids. They keep us on our toes.
